Valorie Pillow and Anne Maxfield have similar creative styles and together are a dynamic design team. Both are inspired by eye candy, fashion and interior design, and vibrant color palettes found from around the world. Something as simple as a handful of colorful yarns, a piece of sea glass, or a tiny piece of red coral may be all that it takes to get them started on an idea for their next collection.
Both women have extensive backgrounds in art and design. When they aren’t working on a new fabric collection, you might find them handpainting furniture for a charity auction, creating mosaics, designing jewelry, embellishing clothing, or handpainting a design on a nursery wall. Creativity runs through every thread of their lives and they feel excitement at every stage of their creative process.
The lively sense of fun and laughter that Val and Anne share is reflected in the fresh, colorful, and lighthearted prints of their delightful fabric lines. Sure there are a few serious moments and deadlines to meet, but for the most part their mantra and their purpose is to do what they love and have a total blast doing it.
