Catnip explores the endless possibilities of arranging and rearranging half square triangles into a pleasing composition. Valori choose to work in color related pairs of fabrics to lead the eye through the composition. She worked with 2 1/2" wide strips using a template for cutting the half square triangles. You may choose to purchase a roll of fabric and pair up the prints with solids. For the main background, Valori chose a fabric slightly lighter than the natural colored background triangles.
Fabric Requirements:
1/8 yard each of 2 prints
1/4 yard each of 8 prints
1/8 yard each of 6 solid fabrics
1/4 yard each of 7 solids fabrics
Background:
7/8 yard natural linen for triangles
2 7/8 yards light linen for triangles, strips, and binding |
